Reverse DNS (PTR) check

We show the PTR records of an IP address and check that the forward record of the name points back to the same address.

For a domain, up to three of its IP addresses are checked. Mail servers expect a PTR record whose name points back to the same IP: otherwise mail is more likely to be treated as spam.
